A federation that is Kachchh’s voice abroad.
Formed to strengthen the bond between India and people of Indian origin from the Kachchh district of Gujarat — and to make sure their problems reach the people who can solve them.
Spread across the world. Rooted in one district.
People of Indian origin from Kachchh live all over the world, and they have a strong desire to see their motherland prosper. Many have the will — and the means — to invest in India’s development.
Global Kachchh Federation exists to mobilise them: to bring them emotionally closer to their motherland by presenting India in its proper perspective, to facilitate the procedures for those who wish to invest, and to help them solve their problems. Government schemes have been announced for people of Indian origin — but too often they have not reached Kachchhis abroad. GKF closes that gap.
The federation unites Kachchhi brothers and sisters living in different countries through commercial exchange and new opportunities, acts as a bridge between NRIs and the Government through seminars and conferences in India and abroad, and advocates for the legal rights of people of Indian origin from Kachchh.

Twelve commitments we work by
As set out by the federation.
To strengthen the emotional bonds between India and the people of Indian origin from Kachchh.
To facilitate, encourage, promote, support and assist people of Indian origin from Kachchh to invest in India — and help them resolve their problems.
To take necessary and immediate action to safeguard the interests of people of Indian origin from Kachchh.
To keep liaison with Central, State and local bodies, government departments and private organisations to pursue their interests in India and across the world.
To keep liaison with governments, local bodies and organisations overseas to pursue the interests of non-resident Kachchhi Indians all over the world.
To create awareness about the policies of the Indian government towards people of Indian origin from Kachchh.
To act as a bridge between them and the Indian Government — through seminars, conferences and symposia in India and abroad — and as an active link in solving their problems.
To promote and support Indian culture through seminars, conferences, symposia and cultural events at national and international levels.
To help people of Indian origin from Kachchh protect their constitutional rights in India.
To secure representation on committees and commissions set up to consider questions affecting their interests.
To promote business between people of Indian origin from Kachchh and industries and business people in Kachchh, Gujarat and across India.
To undertake Corporate Social Responsibility activities under the Companies Act, 2013 and its rules, or as the federation deems fit.
From Bhuj’s offices to national forums.
GKF keeps liaison with Central, State and local bodies — and with organisations overseas — so that issues raised by a family in Muscat or Kampala reach the people who can act on them. Its delegations have met airport and aviation officials repeatedly since 2023, and its work was lauded by the Prime Minister, as reported by Divya Bhaskar in May 2025.

Frequently asked
GKF is a federation that represents people of Kachchhi origin living around the world. It works to strengthen the emotional bond between India and Kachchhis abroad, to safeguard their interests, and to make them aware of Indian government policies meant for them.
Yes. Global Kachchh Federation is registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India — CIN U88900GJ2024NPL148464 — as a not-for-profit organisation.
No. GKF does not carry on any business. It mobilises Kachchhis abroad, takes up their issues with authorities, and facilitates investment and networking — it does not profit from them.
The federation was founded by Mr. Vijaybhai Chheda. Hon. Shri Dinesh Trivedi is the Patron-in-Chief and Mr. Anil H. Gor — President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries Federation, Bhuj — is the Chairman. A 15-member board spans India, the Gulf, Africa, the Indian Ocean, the UK and Australia.
Typical matters include property and land records in Kachchh, passport/OCI and identity documents, delays at government offices, legal questions and connectivity issues. Use the Help Desk navigator to describe yours — it prepares a short case brief and a document checklist.
Not to begin. Send your matter on WhatsApp from wherever you are. GKF will tell you what can be followed up from Bhuj and when your presence or a power of attorney may genuinely be required.
Neither. GKF guides, represents and follows up — and, where needed, connects you with experts or advises you to engage an advocate. It cannot issue documents or decisions on behalf of any authority.
Your details are used only to take up your matter and are shared only with the people needed for it. Read the Privacy Policy in the footer for details.
People of Kachchhi origin anywhere in the world — and friends of Kachchh who share the federation’s objectives — can apply to become members.
Choose “Country representative” in the membership application. The office will discuss the role with you and the board will consider your appointment — just as GKF has appointed representatives in Australia and the UK.
The federation office shares current membership details, including any contribution, directly with each applicant.
For Kachchhis abroad, the journey home is often the hardest part. GKF has met airport and aviation officials repeatedly since 2023, pushing for international status for Bhuj, more domestic flights (including an evening Bhuj–Mumbai service) and cargo connectivity.
Tell us the route you fly, how often you travel home and what would make it easier. Your real travel data strengthens every representation GKF makes.

Mr. Vijaybhai Chheda
Whenever it comes to welfare and charitable work, the name that beats in the hearts of the Kachchhi people is Mr. Vijaybhai Chheda — and people from other regions too have witnessed his dedication.
He earned an M.S. in Pharmacy from North Dakota State University and served as a director at Neutrogena Corp. For about 30 years he has led the well-known non-profit Bidada Sarvoday Trust; as its Chairman he has provided continuous service to the needy, and under his leadership the Trust offers medical services to deserving people of Kachchh. The Trust received a Presidential Award for service to the disabled.
It is through his commitment to the upliftment of Kachchh that the Global Kachchh Federation was initiated in the interest of people of Indian origin from the district.
